Let Sleeping Babies Lie

Any holiday season is a slow season for news; I am not certain I understand the connection.  It could be that reporters are busy elsewhere, or that news makers are not making news, but whopie or it might be some grand eternal plan – whatever the case there is not much happening.  Which leads very silly stories like the governor of New Mexico and a dead gunfighter to center stage., ignore them they will be gone by tomorrow.  Personally, for this one day, I like to think the baby 2011 needs to sleep before coming out to party at midnight and face 365 days of struggle.  So, I am going to let sleeping babies lie.  The new year with all of its accompanying problems, stresses and tribulations will arrive soon enough – the baby needs to be rested. And so do the rest of us – no news is good news.  Happy New Year!
