On this day in history – no connections, just coincidences

It is the 50th anniversary of the building of the Berlin Wall(well sort of) and the 85th birthday of Fidel Castro – no connection, just coincidence.  Tens of thousands, not millions protesting in Israel, hundreds not thousands protesting in Egypt, no connection, just coincidence. Eighteen “Sharia supporters” (the government’s term for anti-government groups) were killed when the Yemen Air Force attack militants, twenty protesters were killed yesterday and more today by soldiers and tank forces of the Syrian attacking the dissidents, no connection, just coincidence.  The USS Ronald Regan, an aircraft carrier is visiting Hong Kong, China’s first aircraft carrier is testing its new jet fighter, the Flying Shark – no connection, just coincidence.  Egypt’s chief military leader toured Tahrir Square assuring people the army would maintain order, the prime minister of England toured London and assured Londoners that order would be maintained – no connection just coincidence.  The BBC is remaking The Life of Brian, Lionsgate is remaking Dirty Dancing – no connection, just coincidence.  Just another day filled with coincidences, anyone in search of conspiracies or trends always has something to work with – while in truth, today was a pretty ordinary day with nothing out of the ordinary happening – which I suspect means the Giants will lose again today.
