Harry Reid’s Machine Malfunctioned

Harry Reid, by any measure, has been more successful than I have been.  He has forty years of elected public office.  Reid has been a state senator, lieutenant governor and Nevada’s representative in the House of Representatives and the Senate.  Within Congress, Reid has held the highest offices, minority and majority whip and minority and majority Leader.  Before going to Washington, Harry held the most important office in gaming, he was chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission.  Harry’s personal wealth is listed as being between three and ten million dollars.   A decent career for a boy raised in shack without hot water or an indoor toilet.  However, 2015 did not start well for Senator Reid.   He had an accident while exercising – the equipment malfunctioned. Aha, I said to myself, here is a place I can beat Harry Reid.  I can run faster than the poor broken-ribbed, bruised and damaged-faced senator.

I’m glad you didn’t fall off of your treadmill. In addition to the embarrassment, the injuries don’t heal the way they used to. (it seems like it takes about a year, if I’m ever going to get over it.)

Duncan – I have fallen while running a couple of times in the last few years. The cracked rib pain lasted a long time in each case. You are right nothing heals as fast and somethings simply never get back to the pre-injury state. Ah, the joys of aging.
